My Review

"The Restitution" by MaryLu Tyndall, this last novel to "Legacy of the King's Pirate" is yet another very hard novel to set aside without knowing what the out come of the story will be! In this story there are two new main characters that were minor, but still played a major role in the first two novels, which take action in this novel. Go on an adventure with Lady Isabel Ashton as she sets out to find her illegitimate son, Frederick, who has recently been kidnapped by a pirate who is out to get revenge on Frederick's biological father, Kent. Captain Kent Carlton sets out to find Isabel to win her heart and forgiveness, as he gets word from Richard Sawkins on the information he needs.

Isabel is determined and clings to a hope of someday marrying a nobleman with title and wealth, but when her baby is kidnapped, she slowly is seeing things different that maybe title and wealth is not everything it seems to be. Kent determined to make amends with Isabel, though as he keeps on trying he hears her words to him that slices through his heart like a sword. See how the title of this novel, "The Restitution", plays throughout the whole story through Isabel and Kent that to make things right, they will need to realize God is always in control and He can forgive even the worst of sins. The "Legacy of the King's Pirate" has been my most favorite series to read, and I know I will be reading this series over and over to where it will never get tiring!

My Review

A continuing story takes place in "The Reliance" by MaryLu Tyndall where we last left Charlisse & Captain Merrick.  Both on a mission together in the beginning of the story, soon a huge tragedy takes place separating the two newly married and finally able to spend their life together.  Captain Merrick believing Charlisse, his wife, is dead, he turns his back on the One true God and goes to his old life of piracy.  Charlisse captured by a villainous pirate, soon to escape to then seek out Captain Merrick, her husband, but starts to struggle with her own insecurities.

The capture of Charlisse, she tries to help another lady, Isabel, escape from Kent, while she is struggling to face Captain Merrick when she discovers what he has been up to.  Captain Merrick finally realizing being disgusted with his old way, repents, and struggles to get back on the right track, with shocking news about Charlisse still being alive. As in the in "The Redemption" see how the title, "The Reliance", plays out through this second novel to the "Legacy of the King's Pirate".  Watch how Charlisse's faith grows, where she can only rely on the Lord, and Captain Merrick being dependent on the Lord and leave it in His hands.  "The Reliance" has truly been a hard book to set aside, where I want to know how things are going to turn out in the end.  Definitely going to read this novel again!

My Review

The very first book written by MaryLu Tyndall, "The Redemption", has truly been an on edge must know what is going to happen next in this novel.  Just when I think in a few areas that things are about settled, some other suspense action comes up, and has me eagerly reading to see how the events will turn out.  Read about how Lady Charlisse Bristol runs away from where she was brought up, by going on a voyage in search of her father whom she never knew, but heard so many wonderful stories from her mother.  Though through the process she becomes shipwrecked on a desert island.  To make things more interesting find out how a band of pirates and their fiercely handsome leader, Edmund Merrick, rescues Charlisse from near death.

My Review

Finally read the last book in "Surrender to Destiny" series "Surrender the Dawn", MaryLu Tyndall has brought this book to a fantastic thrilling end! Cassandra Channing, a determined woman, who tries to find a way to support her family without marriage, though finds it extremely hard for a woman as herself to hire a privateer, to only finds herself she hires the town rogue. Luke Heaton, the town rogue, who spends his time drinking and gambling, because he carries around an enormous guilt from his past which feeds into his insecurities and traps him in a cycle of uneasiness, that is until Cassandra walks into his life.

Reading through "Surrender the Dawn" this books showed me between two characters how one did not believe anymore that God existed and with the other that God basically left like a few other family members left. Luke has grown up through life with nothing going right for him. His parent's died by Indians burning their home down of who they ministered to, though him and his younger brother made it out of the home. Now tending to his brother who has a disease called Rickets, which crippled the boy. Luke doesn't blame God for all that has happen, just can't believe He exists in a world he is living. Cassandra has grew up in a family where her parents were unhappy in their marriage leaving her to run wild as she pleased. She became independent with a hint of temper and rebellion within herself. When her father now long dead and her brothers off fighting in a war, she felt it was her duty to take care of her family. She starts to feel abandoned by her father and brothers, which she puts blame on God, which she feels He has left her as well. Read and see how God works through the two lives and their relationship grows. How Luke just didn't see how God could help him through his life, that you can't do things on your own strength, and with Cassandra that God never abandoned her, that she just needed to allow Him to guide her through life. Plus this book is filled with lots of action, adventure, drama, and a love story that truly made me want to keep reading more to see what happened next!

My Review

Finishing the last book of this series "A Dream to Call My Own" by Tracie Peterson, I have truly enjoyed reading the novel.  Coming to the last novel in the series, Lacy Gallatin is a determined woman in search of her father's killer, though she is constantly battling a desire for something more than just revenge on the killer.  Deputy Dave Shepard is a young sheriff for Gallatin Crossing in Montana.  He is trying to help Lacy to find her father's killer, but when it comes to Lacy if feels it is not enough in what he is doing.

Through the story Lacy and Dave's relationship grows in very unique way.  There is usually some sort of tension between them.  Soon Dave proposes to Lacy in marrying him, but after she said "yes", Lacy is starting to have some doubt or more like fears are coming into her mind.   As time goes on, she keeps on holding off the wedding date because she feels she won't be able to go on life without finding her father's killer and so many questions pop into her mind that keeps her in fear with lots of confusion about her feelings for Dave.  See how Dave tries to help her through facing her fear, and how God shows Lacy through His word that there is nothing to fear because God is always with her.  Great adventure and suspense happens throughout the whole entire story.  Have to read it to find out what happens!

My Review

Reading "A Promise To Believe In" by Tracie Peterson has a lot of faith, hope, romance, mystery and laughter. This story takes you back to the 1870s in Montana!  Three sisters (Gwen, Beth, and Lacy Gallatin) have a life in the Montana wilds by operating a roadhouse and now are trying to maintain after a tragity of their father who is accidentally killed.  Gwen Gallatin, the oldest sister, believes it is her fault because she believes she is cursed (death by whom she loves).  A few days later the sisters get an unexpected visitor, Hank Bishop, who basically adds to the chaos around the roadhouse. Hank comes by in searching for possessions of Gwen’s late husband, who obviously had stolen important things from his family.

Gwen and Hank work out details of the past of Gwen’s late husband of who is supposedly Hank’s younger brother. Truth and lies arise between Gwen and Hank as matters are discussed. Read how Gwen and Hank’s relationship grows, in trusting in the one another, caring for each other, and how they could possibly love each other with all their heart. Throughout the story, see how Gwen is told that one is not cursed if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, and that Jesus who became a curse has taken away our sins.  I’d recommend getting “A Promise To Believe In” that has a very good message!

My Review

First of all "The Red Siren" by MaryLu Tyndall is the very first book I received from the author herself.  I became very interested when she told me a brief detailed about the book.  A lady, Faith Westcott, who is a lady by day and a pirate by night, in trying to save herself and her sisters from forced marriages by their own father who apparently shows no love for them.  When her father has to leave on another mission for work he has a British Royal Navy, Dajon Waite, come to watch over Faith and her sisters.

As the story goes on Dajon in the meantime is trying to catch a lady pirate who apparently is Faith, and while he does not know Faith is the lady pirate he tries to show her spiritual faults.  Read this book and see how the two, Faith and Dajon, overcome their past mistakes and see if or how Faith will ever regain her trust in God only!  After reading "The Red Siren" I was swept away by this historical romance novel!

My Review

I have very much enjoyed reading MaryLu Tyndall's second book "Surrender the Night" of the "Surrender to Destiny" series! Rose McGuire, an American farm girl, who has lost both of her parents at a young age due to the British heading into war against her country, now alone on her family farm with her uncle and aunt, and now having to deal with a British 2nd Lieutenant who defends her against a brutal lieutenant in the processes of getting injured. Alexander Reed, a British 2nd Lieutenant, who is at war by trying to become a better person where his own family back home will accept him, gets injured by saving Rose from a brutal lieutenant, and as he is healing he tries to keeps his true identity secret.

After reading, "Surrender the Night", I noticed how two people of the opposing countries could really have an effect on the war. Rose is always being so nervous, and very afraid throughout the war that is going on. She does not want to venture outside her farm home area with her aunt to help others in need during the war. She is also having a hard time to trust anyone especially Alex while she treats him of his injury. Alex is trying to make up for his past back in his home country. After he recovers from Rose's treatment of his injury, he is too stubborn and won't go back to where he suppose to go. As time goes on, Rose starts to let go of her fears, and Alex starts to realize what a true family is like and is feeling more at home with Rose's family than his own. See how God works through both Rose and Alex when more trails and dangerous situations arise just as their relationship starts to grow. Just as the first book to this series, “Surrender the Night” is also filled with lots of action, adventure, drama, and a love story that makes you keep on reading to find out more and more!

My Review

I have very much enjoyed reading this book, "Surrender the Heart" by MaryLu Tyndall.  Marianne Denton, an ordinary young lady who feels like she will never be good enough, especially when she is captured on a British navy at sea. Noah Brenin, a driven man to keep his father's merchant business afloat to have his own father approve of him from a past accident of his youth, but then to realizing something else of more importance.

After reading, "Surrender the Heart", I saw how Marianne and Noah faced their darkest fears as they tried to find a way to escape and fulfill their own destinies. I even noticed how much both needed God in their lives, to have trust in God, knowing that no matter what God has always been with them, and God's destiny for both of them! To conclude, "Surrender the Heart" is filled with lots of action, adventure, drama, and a love story to where I just want to keep on reading to find out what is going to happen next through the whole story!
